Sarah Armstrong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Sarah began their career at Camp Butwin in 2003, where they served as an Office Manager and was responsible for developing and implementing camp policies and procedures, managing camper records, and conducting inventory and purchasing.

In 1998, Sarah joined the Jewish Community Center as a Member Services employee. During their time there, they generated significant weekly membership sales, registered clients for programs, and provided training to staff.

Following their tenure at the Jewish Community Center, Sarah worked at The Hearing Shoppes of Minnesota as a Branch Manager. In this role, they achieved low product return rates, implemented an inventory database to reduce expenses, and managed a significant project with the Veterans Administration.

Sarah then transitioned to Search Institute in 2012, where they worked as a Customer Service Specialist. Sarah played a key role in developing donor and client cultivation and marketing strategies, implemented a donation tracking system, and managed a cloud-based campaign management system.

In 2015, Sarah joined Neighbors, Inc. as a Development Associate, before moving to Summit Academy OIC in 2016. At Summit Academy OIC, they held multiple positions, including Annual Fund Manager, Development Manager, Development Director, and currently serves as the Chief Development Officer. As Chief Development Officer, Sarah is responsible for overseeing the development department and coordinating fundraising efforts.

Throughout their career, Sarah has gained extensive experience in customer service, development, fundraising, project management, and operations. Sarah has a strong track record of implementing innovative strategies and achieving results.

Sarah Armstrong attended Hamline University from 2004 to 2007. Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, majoring in Political Science and Government as well as Sociology.

Summit Academy Opportunities Industrialization Center (SAOIC) in Minneapolis, Minnesota is dedicated to helping individuals, particularly those from economically challenged backgrounds, to build successful careers.At Summit you can prepare for a career as a Nursing Assistant,Electrician, Welder, Plumber or Sheet Metal Worker, among other professions. Summit’s vocational training programs are also short-term, in many caseslasting only five months.Due to the fact that Summit trains students for in-demand careers and trains and supports them well, Summit’s job-placement rate is high. Job placement is not guaranteed, but Summit does its best to help its graduates to find work.Since Summit primarily educates students from financially challenged circumstances, students are encouraged to apply for financial aid, which is offered through loans and grants to eligible students.Those who are interested in applying to Summit Academy must attend an information session before submitting their application.
