Antonis Koussounadis

Antonis Koussounadis is an accomplished bioinformatics professional currently serving as Bioinformatics Team Lead and Senior Bioinformatician at Saphetor since May 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Bioinformatician at the Medical University of Vienna and Bioinformatician at the University of Thessaly and Bluebee. At Bluebee, an innovative provider of genomics solutions, Antonis contributed to enabling faster and cost-effective genomic data processing. Previous positions include a Bioinformatician at the University of Glasgow, Sessional Lecturer in Biology at Navitas, and Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews. Antonis's early career features roles including Research Associate at Roche and Research Fellow in Bioinformatics at University College London. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and an MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Aberdeen, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Patras.
