Maarten Kempen

In February 2023 Maarten joined Saphetor as Chief Commercial Officer for leading the global sales and marketing strategies with more than 25 years of broad experience in clinical international markets. Most recently Maarten held the role of Director of Clinical Sales at Illumina where he joined in 2015. In this role, he introduced a dynamic clinical-oriented organization by providing strategic direction and leadership for driving sales of key clinical genomics solutions in the landscape of large genomics accounts, and Governmental organizations related to national healthcare programs across EMEA, Russia & CIS. Prior to Illumina Maarten held various international Commercial and Business development leadership roles at PerkinElmer Inc, EG&G Wallac, and Eurogenetics/Tosoh.

Maarten holds a BSc in Biochemistry, and an MBA from TIAS, Tilburg University, and TU Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.
