Dr Matthew Beatty

Matthew Beatty MD is a physician and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of Surgery Hero since May 2020, Matthew leads a digital clinic focused on surgical preparation and recovery at home. Prior to this, Matthew held the position of Clinical Lead at Huma from March 2018 to January 2020 and founded Spacehop, serving as CEO from January 2015 to April 2018. Matthew's early medical career includes roles as a doctor at Medacs Healthcare and NHS England during Foundation Year One and Foundation Year Two. Additionally, Matthew created the Medical Fluid Calculator App to assist in calculating fluid replacement for dehydrated pediatric patients. Matthew earned a BSc in Sports Medicine from Queen's University Belfast and attended the University of Leeds, contributing to a robust educational background in healthcare.
