Janis Upitis

Janis Upitis has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at Ltd. Datorikas instituts DIVI as a Junior Programmer, Programmer, and Systems Analyst-Programmer. During this time, they developed technical descriptions and estimations for tender applications and co-authored successful tender-winning applications. In 2010, they were named employee of the month.

In 2010, Janis joined Exigen Services Latvia as a Senior .NET Developer and later became a Senior Systems Analyst. Here, they designed complex system modules and co-authored system-wide solutions for an educational savings plan provider in Canada.

From 2011 to 2017, Janis worked at Knowledgeprice.com, where they held various roles including Project Manager, Development Team Lead, Scrum Master, and Solutions Architect. Janis managed technical teams and successfully delivered projects in the insurance industry, such as motor and home insurance renewal, system integration with aggregator sites, and PayPal integration. Janis also implemented a cloud banking platform for a challenger bank in the United Kingdom.

In 2016, Janis joined Ninety Technologies as a Technical Project Manager and Solutions Architect. Janis worked on a customer portal solution for Zurich Municipal in the UK, which received the Insurance Times Tech & Innovation award for "Best Use of Technology to Improve Customer Experience."

Currently, Janis is employed at Sapiens as a Project Manager, Development Team Lead, Scrum Master, and Solutions Architect.

Janis Upitis completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate from 2005 to 2009. Janis then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate from 2009 to 2011.
