Roland Nilsson

Roland Nilsson serves as a Principal Investigator and Advisor on computational biology at Sapient since April 2021, while also holding positions as a Senior Researcher and Assistant Professor at Karolinska Institutet since January 2010, focusing on cellular metabolism, expression profiling, and genomics in relation to cancer cell metabolism. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellow role at Harvard Medical School (2007-2009) where large-scale in silico genomic screening technology was developed, alongside research as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor at Karolinska Institutet from 2003-2010. Additional positions include Research Engineer at Linköping University (2007), Lecturer in mathematics and computer science (1999-2006), and a Master's student at Stockholm Bioinformatics Center (2002). Roland Nilsson holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and an M.Sc. in Engineering Biology from Linköping University.
