Marcos Camara Donoso

Marcos Camara Donoso is a seasoned professional in the fields of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Director of AI Solutions at Sapio Sciences since July 2025. Previously, Marcos held the role of Generative AI Lead at Astellas Pharma, where leadership of a cross-functional team facilitated the development of a comprehensive Generative AI strategy, along with the implementation of Responsible AI principles. With expertise in machine learning and bioinformatics gleaned from positions at Lifebit and Euretos, Marcos has consistently improved AI systems and provided consulting services to prominent pharmaceutical companies. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad de Sevilla.
