Jonathan Cain

Jonathan Cain is a Sustainability Manager at Sapphos Environmental, Inc. since March 2014, where expertise is provided in regional sustainability strategies and key projects related to climate change, waste management, water resources, and renewable energy. Significant contributions include the implementation of the Climate Change Program for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority, preparation of various environmental reports, and management of large-scale renewable energy projects. Prior to this role, Jonathan served as a Sustainability Advisor for the City of Thousand Oaks, where analysis of solid waste services led to significant financial savings for the city. Earlier experience includes a position at Climate Center, Columbia University, where a research grant was secured for climate studies in Ecuador. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Engineering and Experimental Psychology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
