Marilyn Hammer (Holt)

Marilyn (Holt) Hammer, PhD, is a personalized medicine scientist at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, specializing in the review of patient molecular profiling for targeted therapy and clinical trial options. Previously, as a staff scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Marilyn curated information from electronic health records and clinical trial documents to support clinical studies and decision-making. During tenure as a graduate research assistant at Vanderbilt University, Marilyn focused on biochemical and biophysical studies of human DNA primase and also served as a graduate writing consultant. Early experience includes teaching assistance at Houghton College and undergraduate research at Vanderbilt University. Marilyn obtained a PhD in Chemical and Physical Biology from Vanderbilt University and holds a BS in Chemistry and Biology from Houghton University.
