Mark Beard

Mark Beard has over 40 years of experience in clinical systems engineering and healthcare information systems. Currently serving as a Senior Clinical Systems Engineer at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System since 2000, Mark Beard is responsible for researching, planning, implementing, integrating, upgrading, and supporting clinical and business information systems, while also mentoring junior engineers. Previously, Mark Beard held roles as a Systems Administrator and Meditech LIS Administrator at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, focusing on clinical information systems and laboratory instrumentation integration. Earlier in the career, Mark Beard served as a Communications Systems Supervisor in the USAF. Mark Beard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Science from the University of South Florida and an Associate of Arts from Manatee Community College.
