Derek Fougère, CFS, is an experienced food science professional with a strong background in commercialization and product development. Currently serving as a Senior Food Technologist at Solina USA since February 2020, Derek previously held the position of Lead Food Scientist at Kagome USA, Inc. from August 2015 to January 2020. With earlier roles including Project Manager at Boyer Heating & Air Co., Food Scientist & Co-Packing Manager at Mad Will's Food Company, and Food Technologist at United Foods International, Derek has demonstrated expertise in various facets of food science. Additional experience includes Quality Assurance/Control Lab Technician at Firestone Walker Brewing Company and a Research and Development Assistant role at Cal Poly State University. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts & Biotechnology from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
