Abbie Lee

Abbie Lee serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Batten Disease Support, Research, and Advocacy Foundation (BDSRA) since January 2023, contributing to the organization's mission to support families impacted by Batten Disease. Currently, Abbie holds the position of Executive Medical Director of Clinical Development at Sarepta Therapeutics, leading a global team focused on advancing clinical-stage Antisense Oligonucleotides and gene therapy programs for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Global Medical Director at Taysha Gene Therapies, overseeing programs for Giant Axonal Neuropathy and CLN1 Batten disease. Additionally, Abbie worked at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. as Medical Director and Associate Global Medical Director, leading medical affairs for investigational gene therapies in Hemophilia A and Batten Disease. Early career involvement at UCB as a Catalyst focused on patient advocacy and education in epilepsy. Abbie holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in Biotechnology from the University of California, Berkeley.
