Chris Vanwynen

Chris VanWynen, MBA, has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily focused on national accounts and managed care. Chris currently holds the position of Sr. Director, National Accounts Team Lead at Sarepta Therapeutics since August 2022. Prior to this role, they served as Sr. Director, National Accounts at Sarepta Therapeutics from January 2018.

Before joining Sarepta Therapeutics, Chris worked as a Regional Account Director at ZS Pharma, Inc. from April 2016 to January 2018. In this role, they represented a new product in the renal cardiovascular market to large regional payers and national affiliates in a five-state region. Chris'sresponsibilities included managing access and regional contracts, State Medicaid programs, and coordinating pull-through efforts with field sales teams.

Chris started their career at Sanofi in 1989, where they held various roles over a span of 27 years. From April 1993 to March 2016, they served as a Sr. Account Executive, responsible for managing payers and IDNs in Michigan and surrounding markets. Chris handled direct contract accounts, regional affiliates, and had experience with large employers, multi-stakeholder coalitions, and industry associations. Chris received multiple awards during their time at Sanofi.

Additionally, they worked as a Managed Care Specialist at Marion Merrell Dow from April 1991 to April 1993 and as a Sales Representative at Marion Labs from March 1989 to April 1991.

Chris VanWynen, MBA holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing from Western Michigan University. Chris also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the same university.
