Sahak Makaryan

Sahak Makaryan is a seasoned professional in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Manager at Sarepta Therapeutics since May 2023. Prior to this, Sahak held positions as a Senior Research Investigator at Incyte for a brief period in March-April 2023 and as a Senior Scientist at Applied BioMath from May 2021 to February 2023, where Sahak specialized in constructing mathematical models to aid drug design and development. Earlier experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Southern California, focusing on Natural Killer cell signaling for immunotherapy, and as a Lab Associate at Quest Diagnostics, where Sahak developed and validated immunoassay methods. Additionally, Sahak contributed as a Research Assistant at Keck Medicine of USC, studying cellular migration. Academically, Sahak earned a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and a BA in Neuroscience, both from the University of Southern California.
