Scott Barrier

Scott Barrier is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in the rare disease sector, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of CNS Neurology Gene Therapy Programs at Sarepta Therapeutics since July 2015. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Vice President of US Market Development at Prosensa Therapeutics B.V. from August 2014 to June 2015, leading US market initiatives for the Dutch company. Scott's career at Sanofi Genzyme, spanning over two decades, included roles such as Vice President of Sales for the Rare Disease Business Unit and Senior Regional Sales Director. Earlier in Scott's career, roles at Genentech and Merck Sharp & Dohme focused on clinical marketing and sales management, respectively. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg, obtained between 1974 and 1978.
