Christophe Counil

Christophe COUNIL has an extensive career in public service and education, currently serving as a Conseiller communautaire délégué aux grands projets d’urbanisme for Le Mans Ville et Métropole since March 1995. In addition to this role, Christophe COUNIL holds positions as the 2ème adjoint au Maire and Vice president of Le Mans Métropole, focusing on sustainable city policies and significant urban projects. Since 2004, Christophe COUNIL has been the President of the Syndicat Mixte de la Sarthe pour le Stationnement des Gens du Voyage, overseeing the management of parking facilities for traveling communities. Furthermore, as a Professor of History and Geography with the Education nationale since September 2000, and a Conseiller départemental for the Département de la Sarthe since March 1998, Christophe COUNIL also played a key role as Premier fédéral of the Parti Socialiste Sarthois from 2012 to 2018, managing the political activities of the federation. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Contemporary History from Le Mans Université and a Baccalauréat.
