Thomas Hjelm

Thomas Hjelm has extensive experience in crew optimization and flight operations within the airline industry, currently serving as the Head of Crew Optimization at SAS - Scandinavian Airlines since November 2019. Hjelm has played a pivotal role in transforming crew rostering and training planning for SAS Scandinavia and SAS Link, effectively integrating previously separate departments. Prior to this, Hjelm held various positions at Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia A/S, including Manager of the Operation Control Centre, and has also worked in operational roles at Jet Time, Cimber Sterling A/S, and Malmö Aviation. Hjelm's educational background includes studies at Mälardalen University from 2003 to 2007.
