Jonathan Carriere

Jonathan Carriere has a diverse work experience in various roles related to cyber security and IT infrastructure. Jonathan is currently working as the Director of Cyber Security and Compliance at Saskatchewan Government Insurance since April 2022. In this role, they are responsible for security governance, reporting, delivery, and support, as well as risk and compliance oversight.

Prior to this, Jonathan worked as a Cloud Security Architect at ACTSolution from July 2021 to March 2022. Jonathan also served as a Cyber Security Manager at ISM Canada from June 2018 to June 2021.

In addition, Jonathan has experience as a Manager of Security Architecture at Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board from May 2017 to June 2018, and as a Client Technology Manager - Corporate Security, Planner - Disaster Recovery, Planner - IT Infrastructure Solutions, and Technical Analyst at SaskTel from December 2016 to May 2017, March 2013 to December 2016, January 2012 to March 2013, and June 2003 to January 2012 respectively.

Jonathan's career in the field of cyber security began at ISM Canada, where they worked as a Support Consultant from December 1996 to May 2003.

Jonathan Carriere obtained a Diploma in Computer Information Systems from SIAST Palliser, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, they have several certifications including Executive Vulnerability Management from Cybrary, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Business Resilience IT Professional from BRCCI, and course certificates in R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera.
