Chris Kasian

Chris Kasian is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in energy management systems and SCADA engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Energy Management Systems Operations Engineer at SaskPower since January 2009, Chris is responsible for the maintenance and development of the master station SCADA system, including key functionalities such as Automatic Generation Dispatch and the Dispatcher Training Simulator. Previously held roles include Senior Meter Engineer, where contributions to UL2735C Meter Safety Standards were made and involvement in the ANSI C12 Meter Standards committee occurred. Chris has designed and deployed SCADA systems for various applications and began professional development as a Firmware Systems Engineer for Uponor Ltd, focusing on HVAC control systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
