Shawn Schmidt has extensive experience in the electrical engineering and energy sector, holding various positions in prominent companies such as SaskPower, Areva Resources Canada Inc, SNC-Lavalin, and TransAlta. With a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Shawn has held roles such as Chief Electrical Engineer, Region Engineer, Account Manager, and Director, showcasing their expertise in managing operations, maintenance, emergency response, and industrial mining portfolio business relationships. Currently serving as the VP Transmission and Distribution at SaskPower, Shawn oversees the construction, maintenance, and emergency response of the transmission bulk electric system in Saskatchewan.
