Dirk Uys

Dirk Uys has extensive work experience in the chemical industry, primarily with Sasol. Dirk started their career with Sasol Chemicals Pacific in 1996 as a Regional Sales and Marketing Manager before moving on to various roles within the company. Dirk served as the Supply Chain Manager at Sasol Solvents from 2001 to 2002 and then became the Manager Marine Logistics at Sasol from 2002 to 2008. In 2009, they became the Regional MD for Sasol Chemicals Pacific, overseeing sales offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Dirk joined Sasol Solvents in 2012 as the General Manager of Global Sales before transitioning to roles within Sasol Base Chemicals and Sasol Performance Chemicals. Dirk most recently held the position of VP of Sales: Industrial Solutions at Sasol starting in December 2020. Throughout their career, Dirk has held various leadership roles and has been responsible for sales, marketing, supply chain management, and customer service.

From 1984 to 1988, Dirk Uys attended Stellenbosch University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Chemistry and Physics.
