George Hattingh

George Hattingh, presently serving as the General Manager at Sasol since October 2023, has extensive experience within Sasol Mining, including prior roles as General Manager and Mine Manager from June 2014 to October 2023. Previously, George held the position of Shaft Manager Production at the 3E Shaft of Brandspruit Colliery from June 2009 to August 2013, focusing on meeting production and cost targets while promoting safety and effective resource utilization. George began the career as Shaft Manager Production Services from June 2005 to December 2008, emphasizing the sustainable mining of coal and compliance with environmental and safety standards. Academic qualifications include an MBL in Leadership from the University of South Africa, a B Tech in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, and a National Higher Diploma in Coal Mining Engineering from Technicon Witwatersrand.
