Simon Baloyi is the EVP of Energy Operations & Technology at Sasol. Simon has over fifteen years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on process engineering and business operations management.

Simon began their career at Sasol in 2002 as a process engineer. In this role, they were responsible for HTFT dundamnetals, fluidisation, plant monitoring and performance evaluation, catalyst reserach, and basic procee engineering tasks. Simon remained in this position for three years before moving to Sasol Cobalt Catalyst Manufacturing, where they served as Business Operations Manager.

In their current role, Simon is responsible for leading Sasol's energy operations and technology initiatives. Simon is also responsible for developing and implementing a world-class operations strategy, ensuring efficient operation of global Cobalt Catalyst FT catalyst manufacturing facilities, and keeping track with technology development.

Simon Baloyi has a management programme from INSEAD, an Msc in engineering management from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, a master's in chemical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Bsc in chemical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a senior certificate in matriculation from Hans Kekana High.

Simon Baloyi reports to Fleetwood Grobler, Executive Director, President & CEO. They work with Brad Griffith - EVP, Chemicals, Priscillah Mabelane - EVP, Energy, and Charlotte Mokoena - EVP, HR & Stakeholder Relations.
