Dr. Carlos C.

Dr. Carlos C. has a diverse work experience in the field of telecommunications and space technology. Dr. Carlos currently works as a Payload Program Manager at Sateliot starting from April 2023. Previously, they served as a Program Manager Hosted Payload at Satellogic from January 2021 to April 2023. In this role, they demonstrated expertise in managing the entire payload development life-cycle, including resource planning, team building, project management, and budget control. Dr. Carlos also showcased their ability to effectively manage interdisciplinary engineering teams and mitigate risks.

Before joining Satellogic, Dr. Carlos C. worked as a Technical Project Manager at Mynaric from June 2019 to December 2020. In this role, they excelled in team building, technical project management, and providing high-quality customer support. Dr. Carlos demonstrated proficiency in modeling inter-satellite and space-to-ground optical links.

Prior to that, they served as a Researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) from June 2013 to May 2019. Dr. Carlos showcased expertise in free-space optical communications, including adaptive optics for space-to-ground laser links, and the study of speckle effects and compensation systems.

Dr. Carlos C. began their career as a Transmission Engineer at Sofrecom Argentina SA from January 2007 to September 2009. In this role, they led engineering supervision and deployment of DWDM transponders in Telecom Hubs and provided high-quality customer support. Dr. Carlos also demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex network infrastructure issues.

Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from April 2011 to June 2012.

Dr. Carlos C. pursued a Ph.D. in Signal Theory and Communications at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Sc. in Optics and Photonics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2010 and 2012. Dr. Carlos began their educational journey by completing a B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Instituto Universitario Aeronáutico from 2001 to 2006.
