Sophie Cazanave

Director, Translational Research, Liver Disease at Satellite Bio

Sophie Cazanave, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of liver disease research. Sophie currently holds the position of Director of Translational Research at Satellite Bio since 2022. Previously, they worked at Glympse Bio where they held multiple roles including Director of NASH biology from 2021 to 2022, Principal Scientist-Team Leader and Function Head for NASH and Liver fibrosis from 2020 to 2022, and Founding Scientist and Program lead from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2012 to 2016, and at Mayo Clinic as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2007 to 2011. Sophie started their research career as a PhD student at INSERM U481, School of Medicine Xavier Bichat, Paris, France from 2003 to 2007.

Sophie Cazanave, Ph.D., pursued their education in the field of Biology and Pathology of epithelia at the University Paris 7 Denis-Diderot in Paris, France. Sophie successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from 2003 to 2007 at this institution.
