Christine Hlavka

Christine Hlavka is a seasoned intellectual property professional with extensive experience in patent law and strategy. Currently serving as Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Geron Corporation since September 2024, Christine previously held the position of Director of Patent Counsel at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from August 2019 to September 2024, where responsibilities included developing IP strategy and managing patent applications for diverse biopharmaceutical innovations. Prior roles include Associate Director of Patent Counsel at Rhodes Pharmaceuticals, Senior Attorney, and Patent Attorney at Bookoff McAndrews, PLLC, as well as an Associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP. Christine holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
