Senior Product Manager at SatSure

Alisha Contractor has a diverse range of work experience. Alisha is currently working as a Product Manager at SatSure since September 2021. Prior to this, Alisha worked at Asteria Aerospace from June 2017 to August 2021, where they held the position of Senior System Engineer. In this role, they managed various projects related to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle mapping and developed systems architecture for Mapping and GIS applications. Alisha also led a team of GIS analysts and developed solutions architecture for GIS mapping applications. Alisha was responsible for designing test procedures and requirements for developing GIS data visualization and analysis web-based dashboards. Alisha gained hands-on experience with GIS tools during their time at Asteria Aerospace.

Before joining Asteria Aerospace, Alisha worked at Astrin Engineering as a Lead Design Engineer from July 2015 to May 2017. Alisha also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and Lab Demonstrator at The University of Glasgow, where they taught and conducted labs for various engineering subjects and assisted senior lecturers with curriculum design and student assessments. Alisha started their professional journey as an Intern at Mavizen Limited in July 2012.

Alisha Contractor has a diverse education history. In 2006, they obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Government Polytechnic for Girls, Ahmedabad (Gujarat). Alisha then went on to earn a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautics, and Space Technology from Kingston University in 2012. In 2015, they pursued a Master's Degree in (Research) Space System Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

More recently, in 2019, Alisha attended MIT xPRO, where they studied Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems. During their time at MIT xPRO, they obtained several certifications, including "Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems," "Quantitative Methods in Systems Engineering," "Model-Based Systems Engineering: Documentation & Analysis," "Models in Engineering," and "Architecture of Complex System." All certifications were obtained from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019 and 2020, with the most recent one being in March 2020.
