Theckla Pope

President & Director of Accounts at Saturday Brand Communications

Theckla Pope has a diverse and extensive work experience in the advertising and communications industry. Theckla started their career as an intern at Grey Worldwide in 2003 before moving on to work as an Assistant Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather from 2004 to 2005. Theckla then joined Laird+Partners, where they served as an Account Manager from 2005 to 2007 and later became an Account Supervisor from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, Theckla became the SVP, Director of Accounts and Strategic Insights at Saturday Creative, a full-service agency specializing in brand promotion. Theckla held this role for a decade before being promoted to President & Director of Accounts in June 2018. During their time at Saturday Creative, they utilized their expertise in data analysis, media research, and strategic insights to effectively connect brands with their target audience. In addition to their role at Saturday Creative, Theckla served as the President of AAF Charlotte, a non-profit professional trade association, from 2013 to 2015 and again from 2018 to 2019. Theckla continues to be an active member of the organization. Additionally, they have joined the Board of Advisors of the UNC Charlotte Libraries in 2020, where they provide their knowledge, external perspectives, and financial resources to support the libraries in achieving their mission and vision.

Theckla Pope attended West Charlotte High School from 1996 to 2000, but did not obtain any degree or specialize in any field of study during this time. From 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor's degree at the University of Virginia, majoring in Psychology, Economics, and Advertising.
