Murray Gibson, PE, CPE

Murray Gibson, PE, CPE has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of ergonomics. Murray founded Saturn Ergonomics Consulting in 2015 and served as the Founder & Innovation Director. In this role, they demonstrated leadership skills, developed innovative ergonomics application technologies, handled marketing and sales activities, and delivered consulting services. Prior to this, Murray worked at Aon Risk Solutions as a Senior Consultant from 1998 to 2014, where they provided value-added consulting services to clients, helping them achieve their ergonomic-related goals and objectives. Murray also worked as a Consulting Engineer at Auburn Engineers from 1996 to 1998, where they performed ergonomics consulting services for Fortune 500 clients. Additionally, Murray served as the Corporate Ergonomics Engineer at The Torrington Company from 1993 to 1995, where they designed and implemented a company-wide ergonomics program and provided expertise to multiple manufacturing locations. In all their roles, Murray has consistently demonstrated their expertise in identifying and mitigating ergonomic risks and developing innovative and practical solutions. Most recently, Murray co-founded professorhustle in 2019, where they serve as the CTO.

Murray Gibson, PE, CPE has a strong educational background in the field of Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics. Murray obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering (Ergonomics) from Auburn University, completing their studies from 2018 to 2023. Prior to their PhD, Murray attained a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Ergonomics from Auburn University, which they pursued from 1991 to 1993. Murray also holds another Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution, which they completed from 1986 to 1991.

In addition to their extensive academic achievements, Murray has also obtained several certifications. In 1999, they became a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) through the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics. Furthermore, in 2000, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Additionally, in 2020, they completed the Occupational Safety and Ergonomics (OSE) Graduate Certificate program offered by Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
