Currently serving as Vice Chairman and a Member of the Board of Directors at Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company-Luberef since April 2021, Abdulatif has previously held various leadership roles at Saudi Aramco, including Manager of Yanbu Refinery and Manager of the Yanbu NGL Gas Plant Department. Leadership expertise includes strategic development, project management, and oversight of safety and environmental standards as a board member of SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, complemented by certifications in Process Improvement and Six Sigma.

Established in 1976, Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company - Luberef is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality base oils and the only virgin base oil producer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. From our two facilities, strategically located on the maritime Silk Road in Yanbu and Jeddah, we have a combined capacity to produce 1.3 million metric tonnes per annum of base oils. From light vehicles such as passenger cars, to more heavy goods vehicles such as buses and earth movers, base oils are used in a wide range of applications and help to power functions such as gear oils and transmission fluids. Our products not only help power vehicles but are an important component for all types of machinery. Base oils are critical across multiple industries, where hydraulic, turbine and transmission fluids are required for production and manufacturing machinery such as in the steel industry, food production, textiles and clothing. We offer three categories of base oils: aramcoDURA (Group I base oils), aramcoPRIMA (Group II) and aramcoULTRA (Group III). We also produce various by-products.
