Hawwas Mohammad

Hawwas Mohammad currently serves as the Head of Technology Center 300 at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP), a position held since March 2019, where responsibilities include leading search and substantive examination activities, providing input on complex cases in computer-implemented inventions, electrical engineering, and physics, as well as monitoring application lifecycles for adherence to SLAs. Prior roles include Head of the Electrical Patents Department and Acting Director of the Electrical Engineering Patent Department, focusing on examination and policy improvement. Hawwas has also worked as a Patent Counsel at Research Products Development Company, where duties encompassed drafting patent applications and conducting prior art searches. Additionally, Hawwas served as a Patent Specialist at KACST from September 2004 to January 2020. Education includes a Master's degree in Oil Production Engineering from King Saud University College of Oil and Natural Gas Engineering (1997-2002).
