Omar Alqasem

Omar Alqasem is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of AI & Data Solutions at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) since May 2019. In this role, Omar has successfully defined and implemented comprehensive AI and data strategies, developed a standardized AI development framework, and previously held positions as a Business Solutions Specialist and Senior Business Solutions Analyst, focusing on IT business projects and collaboration with stakeholders. Prior to SAIP, Omar worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Saudi Aramco, contributing to Business Intelligence projects and data warehousing. Earlier experience includes an internship in Software Engineering at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL). Omar holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Washington State University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
