Karim Ahmed

Karim Ahmed, CIA, CMA, CFE, is a seasoned audit professional with extensive experience in internal and external audit roles. Currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit at Saudi Mechanical Industries Co. since August 2021, Karim previously held the same position at Berain Water from June 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities included preparing risk assessments and developing strategic audit plans. Prior to that, Karim worked as an Internal Audit Manager at Rajhi Steel and as an Internal Auditor at Al Ezz Dekheila Steel Co. EZDK. Karim's career began at KPMG, where roles included External Audit Supervisor and Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Consultant. Karim holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Alexandria University and has furthered professional education at the Institute of Internal Audit.
