Rakan Alseghayer

Rakan Alseghayer, PhD, currently serves as an R&D and Innovation Senior Expert at stc, focusing on managing technology partnerships and supervising technology innovation activities. Concurrently, Rakan contributes as a researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information's Advanced Data Management Technologies Lab, where involvement includes the TRIAD project and mentoring teaching assistants. Previous roles include project coordinator at SAEE, lecturing teaching assistant positions at King Saud University, and various technical positions in industry, including software engineering at Advanced Electronics Company and training at Mobily and Arab Engineers Company. Rakan holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, along with an MS in Information Science and a BS in Computer Science from King Saud University. Additionally, Rakan has completed certificates in business and project management from the University of Washington.
