Ronny Schlegel has had a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Ronny started their career as a research and development employee at SAUERESSIG Group in February 2015. In March 2021, they were promoted to the role of Director of Research & Development. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant to the Management at Matthews International from March 2017 to May 2017. In addition, they gained research experience as a Scientific Employee with a degree at the Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden from June 2010 to February 2014. Ronny also worked as a Scientific Employee with a degree at The Ohio State University from April 2011 to September 2011.

Ronny Schlegel completed their education with a Ph.D. in Physics, specializing in Eisenbasierte Supraleiter, from the Technische Universität Dresden from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplom degree in Physics with a focus on Festkörperphysik from the same university from 2005 to 2010. Earlier in their education, Ronny completed a vocational training in Postverkehrskaufmann at Berufsschule Pirna in 1998-1999 and a Fachkraft für Brief- und Frachtverkehr at Berufschule Flöha from 1996 to 1998.
