Maria Coccimiglio

Infectious Disease /antimicrobial Stewardship Program, Pharmacist Lead at Sault Area Hospital

Maria Coccimiglio is a Pharmacist Lead in the Infectious Disease/Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Sault Area Hospital since April 1998. Maria also serves as a Clinical Preceptor, mentoring and educating pharmacy students. Maria is a Pharmacy Professional Practise Leader and Interim Manager in Pharmacy. Maria is also a Process Improvement Program Team Lead with LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification, focusing on improvement planning using Lean Methodology. In addition, Maria was the Pharmacy Team lead for Meditech CS 5.0 Implementation. Outside of the hospital, Maria was a Professor and Curriculum Writer for the Pharmacy Technician Program at Sault College from 2011 to 2014. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science (BS Pharm) in Pharmacy from Ferris State University.
