Marjorie Cochran has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Marjorie started their career as a Bilingual Elementary Teacher in the Santa Ana Unified School District in 1987 and later became a Bilingual Curriculum Specialist. Marjorie then progressed to the role of School Principal and subsequently served as the Language Arts Coordinator, overseeing reading and intervention programs. From 2009 to 2014, Marjorie Cochran was a Principal and also took on the role of Grant Development/LCAP Lead Administrator, where they developed grants and drove the LCAP process. Most recently, they joined the University of Southern California as an Adjunct Professor in 2021.
Marjorie Cochran earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton in 1985. Marjorie later obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from California State University, Fullerton from 1990 to 1993. In 2004, they pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne, completing it in 2007. In 2012, they attended the University of Southern California - Rossier Center for the Professional Management Program, where they received a Certificate in that field.
