Michael Metzner

Michael Metzner is a television and film producer and a practicing physician. He earned dual undergraduate degrees in biological chemistry and visual arts from Florida Atlantic University and his M.D. from the University of Central Florida. He trained at his general surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio. Uniting the arts and sciences, Metzner has worked as a producer and medical advisor for several movies and television series, including Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Star Trek: Picard, Amsterdam, Purple Hearts, Perry Mason, American Horror Story, Rebel, and Ratched. After studying at SCAD Lacoste as a student, Metzner served as a SCAD TVfest panelist and has conducted workshops for SCAD students.
