Scott Ballard

Scott Ballard is an accomplished filmmaker and educator, currently serving as Associate Chair and Professor of Film & Television at Savannah College of Art and Design since September 2021. In addition to academic roles, Scott Ballard is a Producer and Director at Western Exit Productions and has been an independent producer, freelance cinematographer, writer, and director since January 2009. Ballard co-owns Great Notion Film and has worked in various capacities on multiple feature films, including "Friday Afternoon In The Universe" and "Death On A Rock." Educated at Boston University with an MFA in Cinematography and Film/Video Production and holding a Bachelor's degree in English from Western Washington University, Scott Ballard's work spans several cities, currently focusing on independent narrative and documentary filmmaking while residing in Portland, Oregon.
