William Johnson is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and research. Currently a Senior Engineer at Savannah River National Laboratory since October 2020, William previously held the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate. William earned a PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology, where research focused on elastic metamaterials for pulse shaping and vibration mitigation. Prior roles included a Teacher's Assistant at Georgia Tech, and Graduate Research Assistant positions at both Brigham Young University and Los Alamos National Laboratory, where William developed analytical solutions and algorithms for vibration control and fracture modeling. William holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
