Kathy Love has extensive experience in higher education leadership, having served as President of Savannah Technical College from January 2009 to June 2024, and President of Flint River Technical College from June 2001 to December 2008. Prior to these roles, Kathy Love held the position of Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs at Middle Georgia Technical College from July 1994 to June 2001. Kathy Love's educational qualifications include an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Northcentral University, an Ed.S. in Education Administration & Supervision from Columbus State University, a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Georgia Southwestern State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Southwestern State University.

Savannah Technical College serves Coastal Georgia with quality, market-driven technical education with campus locations in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties. Serving more than 10,000 credit and non-credit students annually, Savannah Tech offers nearly 150 different instructional programs in Aviation Technology, Business and Professional Services, Industrial Technology, and Health Sciences in addition to Adult Education classes, industry-specific training and continuing education. The College serves as an economic and community development partner for the region, offering corporate and customized training and assessment programs for business and industry.
