David Tatzel

David Tatzel has a diverse work experience in software engineering and management roles. David is currently the Executive Director of Embedded Platform Engineering at Savant Systems since May 2022. Previously, they held the position of Director of Software at Savant Power from July 2021 to May 2022. Prior to that, David worked as the Director of Software Development at Savant Systems from August 2013 to July 2021, where they managed and directed a team of software engineers. Before joining Savant Systems, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer/Manager at Engineered Software from April 2011 to August 2013. David also has experience as a Sr. Software Engineer and Lead at Engineered Software from January 2001 to March 2011. David started their career as an Assistant System Administrator at Wake Forest University from August 1992 to May 1994.

David Tatzel attended Appalachian State University from 2001 to 2002, where they studied Computer Science. David then went on to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2008.
