Robert L Singleton Jr

Quantum Scientist at SavantX

Robert L Singleton Jr has a diverse background in research and academia. Robert L currently works as a Quantum Scientist at SavantX since August 2019. Robert L also holds the position of a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Leeds starting from January 2020.

Before their current roles, Robert spent a significant portion of their career at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Research Staff Member from February 2001 to July 2019. During their time there, their research focused on code verification for large hydrodynamics and radiation-hydrodynamics codes, as well as contributing to plasma physics and Coulomb energy exchange processes.

Prior to Los Alamos, Robert worked as an Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo from September 1999 to January 2001. Robert L also gained experiences as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington from September 1996 to August 1999, and at Boston University from September 1993 to August 1996. At Boston University, they worked on classical solutions to the field equations of the Standard Model of particle physics and lattice QCD.

Robert began their research career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT from September 1991 to August 1993. During this time, they studied baryon-number changing high energy reactions and non-perturbative processes in field theory.

Robert L Singleton Jr began their education journey at Berea College from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Mathematics. Robert L then pursued further studies at The Johns Hopkins University from 1985 to 1987, earning a Master of Arts degree in Physics. Finally, they attended Stanford University from 1987 to 1991, completing their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physics.
