Tarana Shaghasi

Tarana Shaghasi is an experienced professional in analytical sciences and biochemistry, currently serving as Associate Director at Savara Inc. since June 2025 and as an Analytical Consultant at Biotech Partners since October 2024. In addition, Tarana is the Founder of Peregrine Learning since April 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Scientist in Bioanalytical and Molecular Assays at Moderna from September 2023 to July 2025, and as Technical Scientist at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. from January 2019 to June 2023. Tarana began a research career at Novozymes as Senior Research Associate and has held research positions at the University of California, Davis, and Genentech. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Biotechnology Project Management from the University of Washington and degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, as well as a Master of Science in Horticulture and Agronomy from the University of California, Davis.
