Nikki Whaites is a seasoned professional in international development, currently serving as the Head of Program Funding and Institutional Partnerships at Save the Children Canada since September 2024. Previously, Nikki held the position of Vice President of International Development at Big Bad Boo Studios from November 2020 to September 2024, and spent nearly a decade at War Child Canada, where Nikki significantly increased restricted funding and led multiple development teams as Director of International Development. Early career experience includes roles as an International Development Consultant at effect:hope and Director of International Programs at Journalists for Human Rights, where Nikki expanded the organization's operations across sub-Saharan Africa. Nikki's foundational education includes a Master's degree from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Trinity Western University.
