Aboubacar HABIBOULAYE is an experienced safety and security management professional currently serving as the West and Central Africa Safety and Security Manager at Save the Children International since November 2017. In this role, Aboubacar is responsible for the governance, policy, and systems that minimize safety and security risks across multiple country offices in West and Central Africa. Previously, Aboubacar held positions including Sahel Safety and Security Director and Sahel Head of Safety & Security, focusing on the analysis of security trends in the Sahel region. Prior to joining Save the Children, Aboubacar was involved in logistics and security at Educo ONG and the International Rescue Committee, ensuring the safety of operations and personnel. Aboubacar holds several degrees, including a Master’s in Human Rights and Peace Culture from the Faculté des Sciences Administratives et Politiques de Bamako, alongside ongoing studies for a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Security Management.
