James Cox is an experienced leader in education policy and advocacy, currently serving as the Global Head of Education Policy & Advocacy at Save the Children International since November 2019. Prior to this role, James held various leadership positions at Theirworld from June 2013 to November 2019, including Head of Advocacy for Global Education and Head of Digital Advocacy, where influential campaigns were led to secure substantial global funding for education and raise awareness for critical issues such as the Education Cannot Wait fund and the #BringBackOurGirls movement. Earlier in James's career, from February 2009 to July 2013, positions were held at the White Ribbon Alliance, where efforts coordinated campaign activities and partnerships focused on maternal health. James earned a BA in English Literature & Language from King's College London between 2001 and 2004.
