Kirsten Poole

Kirsten Poole is an experienced professional in awards management and humanitarian programming, currently serving as the Head of Awards Management for Save the Children International since January 2020. Throughout a career marked by progressive responsibilities, Kirsten has held various leadership roles, including Global Head of Awards and Director of Strategic Portfolio & Awards Management in Somalia. Prior experience includes positions at ACTED, Polish Humanitarian Action, and Save the Children Nederland, focusing on donor funding, compliance, and emergency cash coordination. Additionally, Kirsten has a background with UNICEF and other organizations, complemented by a Master's degree in International Social Policy from the University of Kent and a Bachelor's degree in Global Development Studies and Psychology from Queen's University.
