Nicola Upham

Nicola Upham is an experienced leader in humanitarian strategy and operational delivery, currently serving as the Director of Humanitarian Strategy and Delivery at Save the Children International since January 2019. In this role, Nicola oversees the development and implementation of the organization's humanitarian strategy and helps translate it into operational plans. As the Director of the Global Humanitarian Surge Platform, Nicola leads efforts to deploy skilled personnel for effective humanitarian responses. Previously, Nicola held positions such as Head of Humanitarian Surge Capacity at Save the Children Australia and Regional HR Adviser at CARE, along with various roles in HR management across multiple countries. Nicola holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from UNSW and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Birmingham.
