Helma Maas

Helma Maas is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as a Persvoorlichter at Save the Children Nederland since March 2021, Helma has held various positions including Owner at HMNLMedia, Sr. Advisor Communication and Press Officer at Protestantse Kerk in Nederland, and Senior Communication Advisor and Press Officer at PAX. Helma's career also includes roles as Programme Officer at Oxfam Novib and in communication at UNICEF in Namibia and Brazil. Helma's educational background features an MPhil in Communication & History from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and various specialized training in communication and security.
